December 2016

I have always considered myself to be a bit of a groupie of Co.Lab. I would come to as many events as possible, each time fueling my enthusiasm into startups more. I have had countless formative conversations inside the Edney Innovation Center. In 2016, it was time to pitch my ideas. I was asked to be a part of a 9-week pilot program for student researchers called Co.Starters. The target student was someone who was in a scientific field that was curious if they, too, could become an entrepreneur. During my time, I learned about commercial market research, elevator pitches, and funding options. Our mentors gave us tools that I will definitely take with me as I bring my inventions to market. In order to graduate from the program, you had to pitch a buisness that you had developed during the course. If you are interested, my final pitch went a little something like this.
